THIS CLASS IS FOR GRADES 4 - 9
Storytelling for 4th - 9th grades
In this class, students will learn to model a story using voice, facial expressions, body language, movement and props; identify the basic elements of a story including setting, characters, character traits; use
pantomime games to connect actions to characters and circumstances; re-create and tell their own version of their favorite fairy tales; engage in dramatic role play; rehearse and perform "Twisted Tongue Twisters" in order to enhance performance skills; work on short dramatic monolgues; work in small groups to rehearse and perform Folk Tales; and work in tandem with others to tell a story written and created by the class.
Students will perform for a parent audience the last week of class.
